Weird West Cowboy Under a Blood Red Vortex Paint by Numbers Kit
The sky has opened up in this canvas and it is not friendly. A cowboy in a wide brimmed hat, pale shirt and dark vest rides a glossy black horse across dark rocky ground, one arm outstretched with a whip trailing behind him. Above and behind, an enormous blood red vortex churns across the entire sky, its edges drooping down in heavy dripping tendrils, and enormous bats wheel through the red air around it. Beneath the horse, black stone and rubble catch the last of the light.
The red vortex is the reason to paint this canvas. It is built from swirling bands of crimson, scarlet and near black, so you work in long curves and build the churn of it section by section, and the result is far more dramatic than a flat colour could ever be. Against all that red, the cowboy and his horse are cool and quiet, all pale greys, denim and dark brown, which makes them stand out sharply.
