Stippled Seagulls in Flight Paint by Numbers Kit
This canvas catches a flock of gulls mid turn, and not a single bird has a hard outline. Everything is built from fine pale dots: the wide spread wings and fanned tail of the large bird in the centre dissolve into a spray of stippled particles at their edges, while smaller gulls scatter around it at every angle. Faint horizontal streaks cut across the dark background like gusts of wind, and loose specks drift through the empty air.
The stippling technique makes this a wonderfully meditative canvas. Because there are no outlines, you build each bird by layering density, more dots where the body is solid, fewer toward the feathery edges, and the whole thing emerges gradually rather than section by section. The dark background is a large, quiet fill, and the wind streaks are long, gentle sweeps that add movement without demanding precision.
