The walls curve over and around in banded arches of grass green, deep teal and cobalt blue, thick with paint, and the opening narrows ring after ring toward a bright rectangle of light at the far end. Scattered across the walls are flower shaped medallions and small dotted circles in pink, orange and yellow. Along the floor the light spills forward in pools of yellow and white, with soft stems and blossoms standing in the right foreground, and a second, smaller figure waits inside the glowing exit.
The palette moves from cool to warm as you work inward. The outer arches are the darkest, built from blue greens and shadowed teal, and they lighten ring by ring until the innermost frame is almost pure light. That progression is what pulls the eye through the picture, so it is worth keeping each arch separate rather than blending them together. The blossoms and medallions are the small rewards, and they are what the fine liner brush is for: tiny pink, coral and gold rings set against all that green.
