Mounted on a powerful grey horse with a steel chanfron across its brow, the figure wears a closed helm, heavy dark plate armour and a black cloak shredded into tatters that stream out behind. A long spear shaft rises over one shoulder, and the horse’s harness and stirrups are picked out in detail. Around them, the world is on fire: walls of orange flame, drifting embers, broken banners and leaning spears disappearing into the smoke.
