Keep the pink family and the gold family distinct, and let the blue gaps stay clean and cool so the warm clouds have something to sit against. The shimmer is the last step and the most satisfying one: place the sparkles deliberately rather than scattering them evenly, since a few bright marks read as light while a uniform sprinkle reads as noise.
